Parenting. No formal training required. No degree or field work imposed. No license to apply for. You need a license to drive a car or a motorcycle, practice law or medicine, even to get married (and really, why is that?), but not to parent a child.
As a father five times over, I feel it is my duty to disseminate as much information as I can about what it’s like…what it’s like when you are disciplining a child and feel the need to laugh, what it’s like when you turn into the biggest moron on the planet in the eyes of your 11 year old, what’s like when you try and stay in shape as an aging 40-something parent, and more.
To be clear, none of this will help you. But I hope it will make you laugh.
